Absolutely! All are welcome to come take a look around as soon as we open our doors. We plan to hold an open house or two prior to opening, if time permits!

Our aim is to be open for business on July 20th, 2026. There are several potential delays but we are confident we should be open one, before, or around this date.

We are happy to provide a free tour to anybody who wants to look around. Currently, free trials are not available. If you would like to “try before you buy” we are happy to roll the price of a day pass into any same-day purchase of a long-term membership (three months or greater).

Yes, of sorts. We will be opening with our full 24 hour schedule and 95% of our planned equipment arrived and installed. There are a few things that will be still en route when we officially open our doors but they will arrive shortly. Many of our final details and plans will roll out over the summer and fall of 2026.

Getting a gym fully up and running and operational truly takes about a year to hit fourth gear. The soft open is the first step, followed by the next phase which is turf installation, starting up Studio classes, enhanced staffing, and beginning approximately six months of mural painting. Getting everything settled in will take time but it is MORE FUN TOGETHER! 🙂

TBD! We will do a grand opening ceremony with all the pomp and circumstance after we have opened and officially hit our stride. The current plan is to have the grand opening sometime in October or November, after everything has settled in, the classes are up and running, the murals have been started, and the vibes are just insane. We want to have a party for everyone!

You should dive in with both feet and never look back.

Real talk, you should do three things as a beginner:

(1) know that absolutely everyone in the gym is rooting for you. Everybody starts at zero, and everybody wants you to win. Once you realize that everybody is focusing on themselves and nobody is looking at you, you won’t feel like such a fish in a bowl.

(2) Commit to longer than you’re comfortable with. You’re here for a lifestyle change and change can be uncomfortable. Don’t give yourself an easy out, make the commitment to your changes.

(3) DO THE JUMP START PROGRAM. SERIOUSLY. The first 30 days of a gym membership set the tone for how you will use your membership. Will you make the changes you want? The only way to do that is to show up. We give you education on what to do, accountability for when you do it, coaching and inspiration, and anything else you need. We are invested in your success. 90% of Jump Start graduates still actively attend the gym 12 months later.

Absolutely! There is nothing smarter than having a trusted and professional guide to get you started and to keep you accountable. We cannot recommend Jump Start or PT enough for all-comers, not just newcomers. Fill out the form on our personal training page and we will contact you to pre-book your jump start or training sessions.

We keep our membership prices as low as we can to kepe memberships affordable and accessible to all.

To accommodate the cost of raising a family on Maui, we offer teen-specific pay as-you-go memberships for Maui teens that are steeply discounted at $100 for 3 months per child without any future commitment required.

Under normal pricing, we offer 10% off any year paid in full for kupuna. This rate is available now at the pre-sale.

For military, we participate in cost sharing options with your unit. Contact your leadership for more information on DoD, Space Force, and Coast Guard pre-paid rates.

We thank all veterans for their service to our country. We require proof of service for any military rate purchases, and are unable to offer them during presale. Military veterans are offered the same kupuna rate discount for years paid in full.

We are always looking to partner with local businesses to participate in corporate membership programs.

Corporate membership special rates are currently only available through the Kihei location for the time being while promotional memberships are offered in Lahaina. We will begin our 2027 corporate wellness programs in the back half of 2026.

Oh yeah we do, and they are primo fancy, too. There are two locker rooms with two showers, a hot sauna, lockers, and vanities in each. Each shower has soap and shampoo but you are free to bring your own if you wish.

We do not provide shower towels. You’re encouraged to bring your own shower towel or you can use one of the gym towels if you like.

We are happy to provide all members with complimentary gym towel service during their workout. Please dunk every gym towel in a laundry bin on the way out.

We prefer that each member use only one towel per person per visit.

You have to wear shoes and socks to be in the gym.

You may go barefoot in the group fitness room (“the lab”) and in the area surrounding it with black turf (“The Cave”).

We understand that slippah happens but no cardio in slippah. No work boots, please.

Kids club will be 8am to noon Monday through Saturday, 4pm to 8pm Monday through Friday.

You can make a free reservation ahead of time in our Mindbody app to hold your place. You MUST be at the gym to utilize the kids club. No drop-offs for date night lol.

Childcare is $5 per child for two hours, or you can prepay the month for $30 or prepay a ten-pack punch card for $30 at the front desk when we open.

In each MPPHG stringer backpack swag bag you will find an MPHG specialty microfiber gym towel, an MPHG shaker cup, a pair of MPHG socks, MPHG Stickers and decals, lanyards, keychains, and the return of the MPHG steel coffee cup. Swagggggggg.

Because we manufacture everything ourselves, we have to consolidate shipping for our turf and promotional items. This shipment will arrive on Maui sometime in August.

Both of our custom-manufactured turfs will arrive on island sometime in August and will be installed shortly thereafter. There may be some equipment unavailable for a few days while the work is done to install them.

Yep! Ultra-premium electric heat cedar saunas that seat up to ten people. They get HOT.

We are staffed at the front desk twenty four hours a day. No key fobs are necessary.

The Studio Maui is treated as a standalone business from Maui Powerhouse Gym. Most of our classes are not included with gym membership, they are affordably priced on a discounted pay as-you-go basis or a recurring plan.

The same as in Kihei, gym members are given a 50%-off discount for TSM classes. You may join The Studio Maui directly without a gym membership if you only want to take classes. Studio memberships will not launch with the pre-sale and will open at some point in the near future when the facility is firing on all cylinders.

In the meantime, we will be offering a variety of free and low-cost classes as we ramp up our schedule.

We do provide a nice variety of free gym classes for our members (called “ohana sessions”), particularly early-on as we are all getting to know each other and build this community. This number typically varies seasonally between four and seven ohana sessions per week.

Historically, so much went wrong with a studio of only offering free classes. The long and short is that free classes at gyms, frankly, suck. The only foreseeable ending of that free classes system is a run-down catastrophe that leaves the member, the instructor, and the fitness center unhappy about what they were a part of. The real problem was the incentives between the gym (minimize cost) and the members (maximize value) were in opposition. The more the gym was successful in accomplishing its own goal the great the feeling of the neglect the member had. This is a serious problem and it had to be fixed.

To solve this problem, we broke off The Studio Maui from Maui Powerhouse Gym five years ago and began allowing members join The Studio directly without a gym membership. This put the gyms goals of providing quality in line with the members’ expectations of receiving value. This realingment has done wonders for our ability to attract, retain, and invest in a professional staff of qualified instructors and also to build and maintain attractive and sleek modern boutique studio environments.

This model works best for everyone and we are proud to see our model being adopted across the country.

Unfortunately, we did not put a spin studio in the Lahaina location. We planned for it and we have the permit to build it, but given a variety of factors we elected not to construct it at this time. We are sorry to disappoint many.

We do have a pair of Freemotion Coach Bikes (like a peloton) and several Stages spin bikes available for your use anytime in the gym.

We reserve the right to build one in the future but we opted to focus our Lahaina Studio on mat pilates, strength, lifting, sculpt, yoga, hiit, and others.

Yes, we have DirectTv on most of the TVs and then a mixture of streaming options. We have commercial wifi available for all.
